Facebook smartwatch leaks, and it’s got one big feature its rivals lack

Facebook’s new smartwatch has been eddying for months, and thanks to a fresh leak we now have the first sight of this smartwatch. Bloomberg recently shows the leaked image of this smartwatch and also revealed that this smartwatch has one unique and big feature which you usually do not find in competitors which is none other than the front-facing camera!

You will find a camera notch into the screen of this new smartwatch of Meta, which is located in the centre of the bottom edge of the display. Other than its unusual placement, it seems much like the front-facing camera you find on a smartphone.

To the side of the camera, the design of the smartwatch looks significant to the Fitbit Sense, with a wide square face and delicately rounded edges. There does look to be some button on the right-hand side of the smartwatch, but the photo isn’t flawless sufficient to be sure.

Previous rumours immediate this smartwatch recommended it would have a separable display, functioning more like a video-calling device or action camera than fitness or health-tracking wearable.

According to Moser, code in the Facebook View app recommends the smartwatch has the nickname ‘Milan’. As Bloomberg reports, code revealed in the app specifies the camera will be able to take photos and videos and share them with a smartphone.


Analysis: is there room for a more “social” Facebook smartwatch?

The smartwatch marketplace has a huge number of embedded players, with Apple and Google both having substantial assets in the space, and there’s a persistent stream of fresh products coming to market.

Recently, we’ve perceived the release of the Apple Watch 7, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and amazing devices from Garmin and Fitbit.
