The shooting of the much-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy 3 started recently. Filmmaker James Gunn recently took to Twitter on November 8 to tell the world that the shooting of the latest installment of the saga has been initiated.

Shoot Initiation
The cast and crew were assembled to shoot new scenes for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, although Gunn has always responded to concerns about when the threequel would finally get underway with a generic answer – soon.
Filmmaker James Gunn tweeted that It’s been a weird, lengthy and sometimes tough trip to get to the filming, but the challenges along the road have just rendered the occasion to be more delightful. He further added that for the first day of filming, he is back on set with his Guardians clan.
He accompanied the statement with a candid photo of the cast and crew on set, indicating that they are again on set and it is time to initiate shooting on the third instalment. He also tagged Pratt (Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), and Sean Gunn in the photo. Will Poulter, who will play Adam Warlock in the next film, has joined the cast in the photo. Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) and Vin Diesel (Groot) are set to return in the upcoming film, despite not being in the picture.
Developments in Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3
Gunn did say during the writing of the second picture that he had concepts for the third, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come such a long way ever since. Gunn stated earlier in 2017 that the third part will complete the narrative of this version of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help propel both old and new Marvel superheroes into the next 10 years and ahead.
Gunn will be working alongside Kevin Feige and the rest of the Marvel Cosmic Universe team to shape where these tales go, and to ensure that the Marvel Cosmic Universe’s destiny is as unique, genuine, and amazing as what they have already produced.
Gunn’s course as the director
Gunn has directed two films in the franchise, the first of which was “Guardians of the Galaxy” in 2014 and the second of which was “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 2017. The first reference of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was in April 2017, before even the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. In January 2018, Gunn stated that the film would actually be released in 2020.
Gunn’s path to Guardians 3 has been arduous to, say the least. Following the resurfacing of certain ugly old comments by the director on social networking sites in the autumn of 2018, Gunn was fired from the production. Following his departure from Disney/Marvel, Gunn was snatched up by Warner Bros./DC to helm The Suicide Squad.
Gunn was soon reconnected with Disney/Marvel and permitted to return for the next Guardians of the Galaxy project, but they had to wait for him to finish filming on the DC movie before he could return to Guardians. In the conclusion, Gunn came out on top since he got two blockbusters from two different comic book companies.
Gunn will also direct the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which will air on Disney Plus Hotstar in conjunction with Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
Guardians of Galaxy Expected Storyline
The storyline of the third Guardians film is unknown, but of course, Poulter will portray Adam Warlock, whose entrance was hinted in a post-credit scene involving Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
The happenings of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film will take place after Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and, if Gunn is now to be trusted, will conclude this section of the narrative.
