The Semana Santa holidays vary each autonomous community. Check out where you can celebrate Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Monday, as well as what each day is known for. And, unlike Christmas, Spain’s National Holiday, or All Saints’ Day, the dates on which the Passion of Christ is honored fluctuate each year since they are determined by the lunar calendar (they always fall between March 22 and April 25). As a result, Easter Sunday is observed on the first Sunday following the first full moon in the spring season.
Good Friday:
It’s important to keep in mind that Semana Santa holidays differ each autonomous community. The sole national holiday on these dates is Good Friday, April 15th.
Holy Thursday:
On Holy Thursday, April 14th, all of Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Ceuta, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Madrid, Melilla, Murcia, Navarra, and the Basque Country will be closed. In Catalonia and Galicia, however, it will be a working day.
Easter Monday:

Cuando es Semana Santa 2022:
When thinking over the work schedule for 2022, one of the most common queries is when is Easter Week. Spring vacation will be held from Saturday, April 9 to Monday, April 18 this year.
A big portion of the population uses these dates to go out of town, make a trip, and visit second homes or rest stops. However, because to the COVID outbreak, it is still too early to predict if limitations would be implemented next Easter.
The dates of Holy Week are determined by the lunar calendar. Easter Sunday (also known as Glory Sunday or Resurrection Sunday) occurs on the Sunday after the first full moon in the northern hemisphere at the start of spring, which can occur between March 22 and April 25.

Holy Week does not include Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday, the first day of Easter Week, occurs immediately after Holy Week and is a day of joyous celebration. In Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Holy Week begins on Lazarus Saturday, the day before Palm Sunday. Semana Santa 2022 begins on April 10th, 2022, and concludes on April 16th, 2022.
Although Semana Santa may vary in time from region to region, it all has its meaning and culture, which is why it has been passed down from the past and is deeply integrated into our present lives. Aside from organizing events, it is also popular to reflect the holiday symbols or cultural beliefs on people by means of objects. Not only can you wear specific clothing, but you can also wear accessories like Custom Enamel Pins. It is both a personalized expression and gifts as well as a collectible souvenir.
