On January 13, we salute, celebrate Korean American Day, and recognize our Korean American friends who have made significant contributions as small business owners, military service members, church leaders, physicians, artists, and government officials for more than a century. Korean American day history:
Just over 100 Koreans landed in the United States for the first time in 1903. This number immediately rose, and within two years, another 7,500 Korean immigrants had followed suit. Korean-Americans have made a significant contribution to society throughout the years, and it is on Korean American Day that we acknowledge and celebrate that accomplishment.
