Musician Chris Daughtry and his wife on Wednesday revealed the cause of their 25-year-old daughter’s unexpected death late last year.
Daughtry said that after a complete study, it was resolute that their daughter Hannah Price expired by suicide on 12th Nov. 12 in Fentress County, Tennessee.
“From an early young age, Hannah fought with mental illness and was in and out of rehabilitation and treatment centers. As Hannah got grown-up, she struggled to find her stability and started using drugs and often found herself in abusive relationships,” Daughtry said in a report. “Just months after losing her biological father to suicide, Hannah was the dupe of wrongdoing and was shot in the face. We did the lot we could to support her and get her the assistance she required to get well from these disasters and get her life back on track.”
Price was preparing to pursue additional treatment and move closer to the family, the statement said.
Daughtry’s statement on her daughter’s death
The Daughtrys said in the statement that Price had told her family in the morning of her demise that she was in “fear for her life.”
“She looked for aid after her present boyfriend supposedly physically abused her and had taken her car,” the statement read. Her family said that they asked local police to conduct a well-being check on Price and that they “strongminded she was OK” at 12:45 p.m. and “left deprived of occurrence.”
Her current boyfriend found her that afternoon and called 911, the report said. “She was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.”
Conferring to the Daughtrys, an investigation by local authorities resolute the cause of death as suicide while under the inspiration of narcotics and did not find any indication of vulgar play.
In their statement, the Daughtrys fortified anyone harassed with their mental health to pursue assistance.
“Hannah was a generous and affectionate person who wanted more for herself and others,” the statement settled. “She will persistently be in the hearts and minds of those of us who love her.”
What Daughtry’s wife requested to Public?
Daughtry’s wife, Deanna, posted a request for the public Wednesday to Instagram, as well, asking that people “stop soaring to conclusions” about their daughter’s death.
She added that there is “so much additional to her story than you are understanding.”
“I loved my daughter so much & I am suffering the deepest emotional pain I have ever felt!” she wrote. “Please stop making it inferior for those of us who love her by scattering rumors & saying repulsive things about our family.”
She said, “true people” are exaggerated by the rumors.
“Just because my husband has a communal job does not mean this is OK to do,” she said.
Chris Daughtry hasn’t posted on Instagram since Price’s death. At the time, he public that he was “shocked and heartbroken” in a slogan together with a photo of Price.
“We never got to say goodbye to our beloved Hannah and it’s one more enormous hit to our family,” he said. “Thank you all for your sympathetic words and condolences. They are really sensed and esteemed. I am now taking time be current with my family as we try to settle from this shocking loss.”
Price and her brother Griffin, 23, are Deanna’s children from a preceding marriage. Chris and Deanna Daughtry are also the parents of 11-year-old twins, Adalynn Rose and Noah James.
