No doubt the two-days IPL auction 2022 was a concentrated affair. 10 teams, 204 players, including 67 overseas cricketers bought, over Rs 550 Crore spent. At the end of it all, the eight older teams all have a fresh look and the two new ones have their first-time squads on this big platform. Players identical with some franchises will now wear dissimilar shade jerseys. Young players, as at all times, have to turn out to be millionaires, tried and tested T20 hands were fiercely bid for.
There were rather a few leadings as well, as far as an IPL auction is concerned, and they definitely turn into big highlight points.
This special and big Tata IPL 2022 auction witnessed as many as 11 players being bought for a price tag of Rs1 crore or more. This has been ensured for the very first time in an IPL auction. The two players who made the captions the most were two players which their previous franchises spent a lot of money on to buyback.
23years old wicketkeeper and opening batsman Ishan Kishan, who was sold for a massive Rs 15.25 crore, as the Mumbai Indians went all out to buy him back, and medium-pacer Deepak Chahar, who went back to the Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore.
The overseas player who ended the main headline was Englishman Liam Livingstone. A 28-year-old batting all-rounder who is trying to make his way back into national reckoning in T20 cricket and played the 5-match series vs the West Indies in the Caribbean just. He was picked up for Rs 11.50 crore by the Punjab Kings.

Surprisingly Mr. IPL Suresh Raina is unsold!
Suresh Raina who is also known as Mr. IPL was unsold in this IPL auction. This was a big surprise for many fans and cricket experts. Raina was the highest run-getter of IPL who was part of Chennai super kings previously. Raina has an exceptional record till now with 5528 runs. Till now Raina missed only one IPL season which was held in 2020 but surprisingly no team owner shows their interest to pick Rain in their team.
No doubt this is a huge disappointment for Suresh Raina fans but it’s a clear indication that performance and current form matter for every team rather than past records. Hopefully, Raina will come back again in the next season of IPL or this may be the end of Suresh Raina as an IPL cricketer.
