In 2021, will B&M, Wilko, Pound land, and Home Bargains be open on Boxing Day

Several stores have revealed their Christmas opening hours, including whether or not they will be open on Boxing Day. Customers may find this year’s Boxing Day to be a little different, as several establishments have announced that they will be closed on December 26.

  • Due to the bank holidays, several stores will have limited hours on Monday, December 27, and Tuesday, December 28.
  • B&M stores are expected to be open on Boxing Day this year.
  • Even though it will be open in 2020, Wilko will be closed on Christmas Day this year.
  • Pound land Closed:
  • Pound land said in September that it would close on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day in 2021 to honor its employees.
  • Because shop opening and closing dates fluctuate between Christmas and New Year, Pound land advises customers to use their website’s store locator.
  • On Christmas Eve, the business closed at 5 p.m. so that employees could spend more time with their families, friends, and loved ones before the big day.

Many supermarkets, including Aldi, Asda, and Sainsbury’s, and other variety and budget stores, will be closed on Sunday to provide staff with a holiday over the Christmas season.

High-street businesses such as Wilko, Pound land, and Home Bargains have issued statements confirming their closures, while B&M looks to be open but with shortened Sunday trade hours due to Christmas coming on a weekend.

Due to the bank holidays, several stores will have limited hours on Monday, December 27, and Tuesday, December 28. This is all we know thus far.

B&M open:

This year, B&M stores look to be open on Boxing Day. According to their shop finder, most locations will be available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 26. Between Monday, December 27, and Thursday, December 30, it is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It will, however, be closed on Christmas Day, as it was last year, to give the personnel a rest. Go to the shop locator to see whether your local B&M has any opening hours.

Wilko closed:

Even though it will be open in 2020, Wilko will be closed on Christmas Day this year. We’re giving all of our Wilko team members some time back to spend with their families as a thank you after such a tough year and as a sign of our great thanks, “Wales Online was told by a spokesperson.

“We’ve decided to close our stores for the day on December 26, 2021, and offer all of our staff an extra day off.”

Pound land Closed:

Pound land said in September that it would close on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day in 2021 to honor its employees.

“We were the first retailer to offer to provide all of our employees with a well-deserved break at Christmas 2020 by keeping stores closed on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day,” Barry Williams, Pound Land’s managing director, said at the time. They are due the same in 2021.”

“Our people have been heroes over the last 18 months, quietly coming up to work to serve their communities across the UK and Ireland,” he concluded.

“We recognize that service and the opportunity to spend more time with their family by shutting on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.”

Because shop opening and closing dates fluctuate between Christmas and New Year, Poundland advises customers to use their website’s store locator.

Home Bargains Closed:

Home Bargains will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day to thank all of its workers for their hard work throughout the year.

Even though Boxing Day is generally one of the biggest shopping days of the year, the family-run firm wants its employees to take advantage of the holiday break and spend more time with their loved ones.

According to a Home Bargains spokeswoman, “We appreciate how hard all of our employees worked throughout the last year to continue to serve the communities that rely on them so heavily.

“As a result, we thought it only fair to reward our store teams by closing all of our stores on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, as well as closing stores early on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. So that they could make the most of the holiday season and spend as much time as possible with family, friends, and loved ones.

“As a family-owned business, we realize the importance of spending time with the people we care about most over the holidays, now more than ever, and this is our way of appreciating all of our employees for their unwavering dedication and hard work.”
