Even though it will be open in 2020, Wilko will be closed on Christmas Day this year. We’re giving all of our Wilko team members some time back to spend with their families as a thank you after such a tough year and as a sign of our great thanks, “Wales Online was told by a spokesperson.

Home Bargains Closed:
Home Bargains will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day to thank all of its workers for their hard work throughout the year.
Even though Boxing Day is generally one of the biggest shopping days of the year, the family-run firm wants its employees to take advantage of the holiday break and spend more time with their loved ones.
According to a Home Bargains spokeswoman, “We appreciate how hard all of our employees worked throughout the last year to continue to serve the communities that rely on them so heavily.
“As a result, we thought it only fair to reward our store teams by closing all of our stores on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, as well as closing stores early on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. So that they could make the most of the holiday season and spend as much time as possible with family, friends, and loved ones.
“As a family-owned business, we realize the importance of spending time with the people we care about most over the holidays, now more than ever, and this is our way of appreciating all of our employees for their unwavering dedication and hard work.”
